Further, Indian women are susceptible to infections and pregnancy by itself is a risk factor for acquiring respiratory infections and SARS-CoV-2 infection being no exception.
Currently, there is limited understanding of the COVID-19 in pregnant women and its impact on pregnancy and neonatal outcomes. Studies reported the ethnic differences in presentations and adverse impact of COVID-19.
